After two years of negotiations, Air Canada has announced a new Brisbane - Vancouver service beginning in 2016. Qantas plans to return to San Francisco in December this year, with Air New Zealand starting Auckland-Buenos Aires and Auckland-Houston in the same month.

After two years of negotiations, Air Canada has announced a new Brisbane - Vancouver service beginning in 2016. Qantas plans to return to San Francisco in December this year, with Air New Zealand starting Auckland-Buenos Aires and Auckland-Houston in the same month.

Air Canada will serve Brisbane from June 17th, 2016 three times per week with Boeing 787s. The Star Alliance member’s Boeing 787-8s are configured with 20 business class, 21 premium economy and 210 economy class seats.This will mean passengers can now fly direct to Canada from Brisbane year round. Air Canada also flies daily Sydney - Vancouver with Boeing 777s.

American Airlines is also slated to begin flights to Sydney from Los Angeles using its flagship Boeing 777-300ER.
