Jetstar Airlines, the Qantas Low Cost Carrier subsidiary, has commenced more flights from Sydney and Melbourne to international destinations, adding an extra 19 000 seats a month to its network.

From 15 December 2102 Jetstar commenced a non stop service between Melbourne and Honolulu.  The success of the introduction of a non stop Sydney to Honolulu service has prompted the introduction of the Melbourne flights. 

Additionally Jetstar have increased the frequency of its flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Bali, now offering a daily service.  Jetstar has also commenced flying between Sydney and Phuket offering four flights a week.

All services will be operated by wide body A330 aircraft.  The increased flights reflect Jetstar Airlines confidence in the growing demand of the tourist and leisure market.
