Scoot Airlines, the low cost Singapore airline, this month commenced services between Singapore and two Australian destinations, Sydney and Gold Coast.

Scoot will be flying to Sydney daily whilst the service to the Gold Coast will be five times a week utilising wide body Boeing 777 aircrsft.

Scoot Airlines service  will add 290 000 seats a year to and from Sydney Airport and about 210 000 seats a year to and from the Gold Coast.

Scoot is a recent start up and chose Sydney as its first destination.  The airline recently announced they were adding Tokyo and Taipei as destinations from Singapore.  Scoot also flys to Bangkok and Tianjin from Singapore.
